The breathtaking view of Amaharashi Beach in Takaoka City, Toyama Prefecture
Amaharashi Beach, located in the north of Takaoka City, is a beautiful spot attracting photographers. The view of the ocean and 3,000-meter high mountains makes a breathtaking view all year round. You can enjoy this beautiful contrast during the daytime. Also, Kearashi, a natural phenomenon where the cold air from the land is pulled into the ocean, causing the water surface to let off steam, can be observed in winter mornings. There are said to be only two other places in the world to see such high mountains from the water.
