The event started in 2014. The main aim of the cosplay festival is to promote and spread the cosplay subculture which originated in Japan throughout the world.
What to expect
Ikebukuro becomes a venue for the whole festival where cosplayers can be seen on the streets, parks, and stores. In order to use the luggage and changing areas, cosplayers and photographers have to pay a registration fee of 1,500yen per day.
