Take a bus from Utsunomiya, about 50 minutes by bullet train from Tokyo, to Twin Ring Motegi. Children taller than 140cm can ride with you in a two-seater kart. Feel the wind on your face as you drive along the race track. You can also fly from one tree to another through the zipline! After all those thrilling activities, you can enjoy a pleasant aerial walk while looking at the autumn leaves.
Take a steam train to Kinugawa Onsen. There are many photogenic spots in the hot spring resort area, such as stairs and ravines with demons painted on them. When you are tired, you can relax with a footbath and indulge in some sweets at the footbath cafe. You can also ride the Kinugawa Onsen cable car, a great way to see the autumn leaves up close. At the mountain-top station, there is an observatory where you can enjoy a panoramic view of the valley and the hot spring resort area, as well as the monkey park where you can feed the monkeys.
Take a train and bus to Nikko. After walking around Nikko Toshogu Shrine, you will go to EDO WONDERLAND Nikko Edomura in the afternoon. Once you enter the village, you will find yourself in the city of Edo. Children can try Edo Work Experience and transform into a Ninja or Samurai. Adults can learn the etiquette of a samurai and how to maintain a sword. You can immerse yourself in the authentic atmosphere of the Edo period, which you will never experience in the modern day.
On the fourth day, you will go to Ginza in Tokyo. Wearing your favorite kimono, you will immerse yourself in Japanese culture by participating in a tea ceremony in an authentic tea room. On the day of your visit, you will be given an explanation of the tea ceremony and have the opportunity to make your own matcha. The sweetness of the traditional seasonal sweets that linger in the mouth complements the rich bitterness of the matcha. Enjoy the balance of sweets and matcha.
The next day, you will have lunch at the Toyosu Market. Enjoy the taste of the best restaurants appreciated by professional chefs, only available here. After lunch, take a helicopter ride over Tokyo.
