Christmas cheer lights up central Osaka for the year-end holiday season
Throughout the month of December, Nakanoshima Park and Midosuji Boulevard shine with over 1.5 million lights and decorations during Osaka Hikari Renaissance, a part of the Osaka Festival of Lights. Join the throngs of spectators who come every year to celebrate the Christmas holiday.
After taking in the spectacularly designed light installations in Nakanoshima Park, enjoy a two-kilometer walk down Osaka's main street, Midosuji Boulevard, which is also immaculately decorated.

How to Get There
You can reach the venue via train and a short walk.
From Osaka Station , take the Midosuji Subway line to Yodoyabashi Station. Exiting the station will put you onto Midosuji Boulevard, and just a short distance from the Nakanoshima illumination.
Mark the date
The Hikari Rennaissance Illumination on Nakanoshima takes place from the second week of November to December 31, while the illumination on Midosuji Boulevard takes place from the third week of November to the second week of January. Specific dates vary by year.
Plan the perfect mid-evening stroll
Midosuji Boulevard intersects with many of Osaka's best-known attractions. Walk all the way to Shinsaibashi or Namba, and stop for a drink or meal on the way.
