Excellent Skiing at Niseko Hanazono

Find powdery slopes and a quality restaurant in a resort in western Hokkaido

Few other resorts can rival Niseko in winter when it’s blanketed by over 15 meters of light snow—which means ideal winter sport conditions from December through April.

Get a ski or snowboard lesson with top-notch instructors, tackle the slopes yourself, or hit the snow fields in snowshoes or on a snowmobile instead. Or if warm weather fun is more your thing, whitewater rafting, inflatable kayaking, canyoning, road biking, and golf offer more than enough to keep any summer visitor happy, too.

Once you’ve worked up an appetite, enjoy a memorable meal at Hanazono Edge, which offers an open and comfortable space and delicious casual dining.

Access: By train, travel from Sapporo Station to Otaru Station (about 35 minutes), transfer to the Hakodate Line train to Kutchan Station (about one hour 15 minutes), then take a taxi to the resort (about 10 minutes). The resort is about one hour 45 minutes by car from Sapporo Station.
