Unique Journeys
Soar high above Yokohama as the city sparkles beneath you

Yokohama Helicopter Flights

To see Yokohama at its best, take to the skies on a helicopter flight. The capital of Kanagawa prefecture and Japan’s second-largest city is a charismatic port with personality to rival its more famous neighbor, Tokyo. Soaring over Yokohama Bay and the city is the best way to appreciate its iconic skyline. Notable features to look out for include the Cosmo Clock 21 Ferris wheel, the sail-shaped Intercontinental Yokohama Hotel, and the 296-meter-tall Landmark Tower, Japan’s tallest building until 2014. Flights last between five and 30 minutes, with both shared and private options available.

Take an afternoon trip to see the futuristic skyscrapers and shopping malls sparkle in the sun, or opt for a sunset cruise to watch the twilight sky change color through yellow, red and purple around you, with Mount Fuji in the distance on clear days. To observe Yokohama at its most glamorous though, depart after dark when the city lights create a dramatic contrast to the dark sea.
