Learn traditional dancing, listen to fisherwomen's tales and try delicious seafood soup
The port town of Osatsucho has the highest population of female divers in Japan, making it the perfect place to learn about the ancient customs of these skilled women. Your guide will first make introductions and then assist in explaining how these remarkable women have grown accustomed to dealing with the dangers of practicing their craft. They will also serve up freshly made spiny lobster and seaweed soup, before teaching you how to dance in the local style.
