Visit the beautiful Italian Embassy Villa Memorial Park to relive Nikko’s history as a glamorous summer getaway. Previously used as the Embassy of Italy’s summer residence, this building was designed by American architect Antonin Raymond, who would later come to have a strong influence on Japanese architecture. Look out for the interior and exterior cedar bark detailing that is crafted entirely from locally grown wood.
