An interactive introduction to the natural history of the Kujukushima Islands
The Kujukushima Visitor Center is located within the Kujukushima Pearl Sea Resort and educates visitors on the natural landscape of Kujukushima's islands, of which there are over 400.
The facility is conveniently located near the sightseeing boat dock. In the main exhibit area, you can learn about the wildlife that can be found within the resort, the changing scenery for each season, how the Kujukushima Islands were formed, and how residents coexist with the rich natural environment. There is a free nature craft table where you can use natural materials to create an artistic souvenir from your trip. The facility also has a lecture hall that is often used for nature observation parties, educational classes, and crafting workshops. You can get information on sightseeing boat reservations and other activities in the area.
The visitor center holds nature appreciation events every month, such as sea kayaking excursions, light mountain hiking, and nature observation groups. Every two months, experts and guests from the Kujuku community also come to give talks on the region's ecosystem, history, and culture.
