Sacred sake-making experience with KURABITO STAY

Experience traditional Japanese sake brewing while staying at an established sake brewery that has been in business for over 340 years.

Kitsukura Sake Brewery was founded in 1696 in Saku City, which is famous for its sake. Its KURABITO STAY plan allows you to spend three days and two nights here and get involved in making sake that will actually be sold as a product. Since sake brewing has been deeply intertwined with Shinto since ancient times, you will first receive a Shinto ritual before entering the brewery. Depending on the time of the year, you can experience various tasks, such as washing rice, making koji (starter), making yeast mash, and paddling the tanks. Spend comfortable nights at the brewery’s hotel, which is a renovated building that is over 100 years old. Meals can be taken at the hotel, as well as at famous restaurants nearby.

This is an extremely rare and valuable opportunity where you can experience an intimate sake brewing tour which is normally inaccessible to the public.
