A sunset kayaking experience at Onna

Let stress drift away as you enjoy unobstructed views of the setting sun on the Okinawan sea from a kayak. Paddle out to the sea and drift along the coastline that’s bathed in the rich colors of the setting sun.

The west coast of Okinawa is the most popular place to catch the setting sun. Aru Guide in Onna village on Okinawa main island offers a kayaking experience where you can see the setting sun as it dyes the cobalt blue skies orange. As you paddle towards the setting orb, you’ll be soothed by the sounds of the waves, the birds, and the wind. You can also enjoy panoramic views of mushroom-shaped rocks in the water, as well as the precipitous cliffs and subtropical jungle along the shore.

This relaxing tour is open to everyone, including children (one year old and up), since the paddle area is in a bay with calm water. Simply pick your spot on the water and enjoy watching the changing colors on the horizon.

1 hour and 10 minutes by bus (Ryukyu Bus) from Naha Bus Terminal to Kuraha, then 10 minutes by walk
