「法師温泉　長寿館」は、上信越高原国立公園にある群馬県の美しい山岳地帯にひっそりとたたずんでいます。この人里離れた温泉旅館の建物は、140年もの歴史を誇り、国の登録有形文化財に登録されています。

本館は明治時代（1868－1912年）に建てられ、当時の建築様式を今も残しています。日帰り入浴をするも良し、宿泊して周辺地域の美しさを満喫するのも良いでしょう。日本の温泉旅館としては珍しく、時間帯別で男女別および混浴の大浴場があり、カップルにはお勧めです。

内湯には立派なひのきの浴槽があり、露天風呂では夜に空いっぱいの星が輝く様子を見られます。ゆっくりと温泉に浸りたい女性の方は、川沿いにある女性専用風呂を利用できます。

Hidden away in the picturesque mountains of Gunma Prefecture in Joshinetsu-kogen National Park, you’ll find Hoshi Onsen Chojukan. This secluded hot spring resort is set in a beautifully preserved 140-year old building that is a Registered Tangible Cultural Property recognized by the Japanese government.

The main building was constructed during the Meiji period (1868-1912) and maintains the architectural style of that time. The inn welcomes those just looking to enjoy the baths, or stay overnight to fully appreciate the beauty of your surroundings. Rare among Japanese hot spring resorts, it offers both gender-separate and mixed bathing depending on the time of day, making it perfect for couples.

You'll find indoor baths with exquisite cypress tubs, and outdoor baths offering spectacular views of the starry skies at night. There's also women’s-only bath set by the river for a peaceful soak.

The inn offers extensive dining options featuring local ingredients and sublime Japanese sake, as well as a discounted lunch and bath package for day-trippers.

During the New Year’s season, bath access may be restricted to overnight guests, and the baths are closed on Wednesdays and occasionally for maintenance. Visitors are encouraged to check ahead of time to ensure they'll be able to enjoy a relaxing soak.
