San'in Regeneration Health Tourism
San'in, a traditional regional name comprising Tottori and Shimane Prefectures, is closely related to the roots of Japan and is recorded in the country's oldest existing historical book, the Kojiki. The travel course we are introducing today revolves around Regeneration Health Tourism, which allows you to rediscover yourself and create a new future while immersed in a range of traditional cultures and natural landscapes on the eastern side of San'in, Tottori Prefecture.
Tottori Prefecture can be explored in three parts for its three regions, each providing a distinct experience. In the eastern area, traditional Ushinotoyaki kiln sites offer pottery experiences to deepen your understanding of Yō no Bi, the beauty in practical things. You'll also have the chance to indulge in the unique local food culture and experience the majestic beauty of the Tottori Sand Dunes. In the central area, you can explore the spiritual sites of Mt. Mitoku, known for mountain asceticism, and the Sanbutsuji Nageiredo, along with the 850-year-old Misasa Onsen. These visits offer a blend of discipline and healing, leading to a journey of physical and mental rejuvenation. In the western area, you will walk through a beech forest protected by Jizo faith, experiencing the connection between water, forest, earth, and the essence of Japanese spiritual culture. This intense engagement with environment, particularly with Mt. Daisen, Japan's oldest sacred mountain, and the sea, allows for reflection on the balance of mind and body.
Nature has been a blessing to humanity since ancient times, giving rise to a rich history and culture. This journey assures you of gaining new insights as you immerse yourself in the wonders of nature.
