Yokohama, the capital of Kanagawa Prefecture, is an easily accessible international city and a long-time hub for Japan’s horticultural trade. The venue for the GREEN×EXPO 2027 covers about 100 hectares of the former Kamiseya Communication Facility, a 242-hectare site formerly used by the US military. Years of restricted land use have preserved a rich natural environment of farmland, grasslands, river headwaters, and unique valley terrain in this part of Yokohama's Asahi and Seya Wards.

Dancing and making flowers bloom when the Earth thrives and weakening when it is polluted, Tunku Tunku represents harmony and resonance between people and nature. Photo credit: ©Expo 2027
