Minakami is a nature-rich, outdoor adventure playground in Gunma Prefecture, less than two hours by train from Tokyo. As the source of the Tone River, it has ideal conditions for river activities such as whitewater rafting, kayaking and canyoning.

Slide, jump, rappel, climb, and swim as you navigate down the pristine waters of Minakami's canyons over 3-4 hours with professional guides. All levels are catered for, from beginners to experts and groups of varying abilities and ages (minimum age is 6 years old). This activity is available from April to October.

How to get there

Take a train from Tokyo Station to Jomokogen Station for about 1 hour and 10 minutes. It is about 5 minutes from Minakami Station, and 30 minutes from Jomo Kogen Station (pick-up services available).
