Upon arrival at Kansai International Airport, you can board all lines with JR WEST not only in Kansai, but in the Setouchi, San’in, and Hokuriku areas for seven consecutive days, as well as the Nozomi and Mizuho bullet trains, which are inaccessible using the Nationwide Japan Rail Pass. A large population of rabbits resides on the island and you will encounter them in most of the areas. Visitors to the island are encouraged to buy food and feed these adorable creatures that are so used to human contact. Just be ready to run as they are prone to chase when you suddenly stop feeding them.

At Toyama Prefecture, ogle at fields of tulips as far as the eye can see! Every spring (late April and early May), Tonami City hosts a festival to display its expansive official flower, tulips neatly arranged in broad rows of red, yellow, and orange. Catch this overwhelmingly colorful scenery on observation decks that offer a 360-degree view. With your panoramic perspective, you’ll have no problem finding the best spot to take a good shot.
