See Japan by Land (and Sea!) with the JR West All Area Pass
Where can your JR West All Area Pass take you?
Upon arrival at Kansai International Airport, you can board all lines with JR WEST not only in Kansai, but in the Setouchi, San’in, and Hokuriku areas for seven consecutive days, as well as the Nozomi and Mizuho bullet trains, which are inaccessible using the Nationwide Japan Rail Pass. With the current COVID-19 condition, JR-West stepped up by offering passengers options for reserved seats to ensure safety for everyone.
Launched in the summer of 2020, the luxury high-speed sightseeing cruiser SEA SPICA, located at Hiroshima Prefecture, has collaborated with JR WEST and Setonaikaikisen Group to showcase spectacular views of the many islands within the Seto Inland Sea. This gives passengers a brand-new sightseeing experience via cruise!
With SEA SPICA, you can travel to Hiroshima’s Okunoshima or Rabbit Island, the paradise for bunny lovers! A large population of rabbits resides on the island and you will encounter them in most of the areas. Visitors to the island are encouraged to buy food and feed these adorable creatures that are so used to human contact. Just be ready to run as they are prone to chase when you suddenly stop feeding them.
At Toyama Prefecture, ogle at fields of tulips as far as the eye can see! Every spring (late April and early May), Tonami City hosts a festival to display its expansive official flower, tulips neatly arranged in broad rows of red, yellow, and orange. Catch this overwhelmingly colorful scenery on observation decks that offer a 360-degree view. With your panoramic perspective, you’ll have no problem finding the best spot to take a good shot.
