Day 1

Hasshoku Center, Hachinohe Shuzo & Yakatabune Niidamaru (Aomori)

Hasshoku Center

Hasshoku Center is one of the largest indoor markets in Japan that specializes in fresh seafood, agricultural products, souvenirs and many more! Visitors can enjoy wide range of marine products that are unavailable elsewhere in their two restaurant areas, which is Aji Yokocho and Kuriya Stadium. You can even pick and buy your own fresh fishes and meats, then bring it to Shichirin-mura and cook them by yourself over a charcoal brazier and taste the food at its finest.

Hachinohe Shuzo

Hachinohe Shuzo is a sake brewery founded in 1775. Their products are dedicated to use only rice and yeast made in Aomori along with clean and clear water from the Kanisawa area of Hachinohe to create a safe and delicious local sake. Their aim is to ensure both environmentally friendly and best suitable for health-conscious public nowadays. Remember not to miss their sake brewery tour and witness the six buildings designated as tangible cultural properties registered by the Agency for Cultural Affairs and important landscape structures in Hachinohe City.

Yakatabune Niidamaru

Have you ever heard of dining in Japanese classic low barge style boat? This is a unique experience that you can find only in the Tohoku Region, often known as Yakatabune Niidamaru. Never judge a book by its cover where this boat is capable to provide you perfect sceneries where you can observe fishing boats and super tankers throughout your dining experience. If you are curious about sake, you should bring yourself to the sake brewery tour and understand the process of making the famous sake and liquors made of local apples and Japanese yam. Last but not least, end your night with the amazing nightscape near the factory area is highly recommended!

Day 2

Kitayamazaki Observatory, Ryusendo & Jodogahama Rest House (Iwate)

Kitayamazaki Observatory

Kitayamazaki Observatory is located 200m above the cliff, and is surrounded with strange rocks, sea caves and coastline across 8km. To provide visitors different perspective various breath-taking views, there are 3 different observatory spots available, which is situated at the top of cliff, cliffside and bottom of the cliff. This scenic spot has the highest rating in the "Natural Resource: Coast" category of National Tourist Resource Evaluation by the Japan Travel Bureau Foundation.

Ryusendo

Ryusendo (Iwate) is one of the three major limestone caves in Japan, and is known as a nationally designated natural monument. The fresh water that springs from the back forms a deep underground lake in several places, and the third underground lake is 98m deep. The undisclosed fourth underground lake is 120m deep (deepest underground lake in Japan). The highlights are the mysterious cave space that extends straight from the entrance and the underground lakes with the brilliance of "Dragon Blue", which is filled with highly transparent water.

Jodogahama Rest House

Jodogahama Rest House located in Iwate prefecture, is a restaurant with a great view of Jodogahama beach. Seafood bowls made from plenty of seafood procured by the chef's connoisseurs and noodles made by seafood are popular. You can enjoy both the scenery and gourmet food such as unimen sea urchin noodles and seafood bowl. Plenty of souvenirs are also available.

Day 3

Anbasan Park & Minamisanriku Sun Sun Shopping Village (Miyagi)

Anbasan Park

Anbasan Park is a mountain with an altitude of 239m overlooking Kesennuma Bay and the city. It was named after the origin of "hope of safe sea travels and fruitful catches of fish". When you climb through the mountain, keep an eye on the mountain ridge and you will notice the outline of the ridge resembles the shapes of a dragon and Anbasan Park often known as the likeness of dragons too. Besides, you will be greeted by two dragon statues at the entrance and the trail to the top of the mountain has various sights of interest such as the “Dragon Staircase”, the “Sunrise Terrace”, and the “Star Terrace”. It’s a favorite among locals for its beautiful design, and rich nature.

Minamisanriku Sun Sun Shopping Village

Minamisanriku Sun Sun Shopping Village located in Miyagi is a single-storey building which supervised and designed by world-famous architect Kengo Kuma. Within this village compound, there are 28 stores operating to serve the locals and visitors, including restaurants, fish markets and more. You will find out that people are all craving for the iconic Minamisanriku Kirakiradon, a fresh seafood rice bowl with toppings as the ingredients may vary from different restaurants. Visitors often stroll around the market and enjoy the beautiful panoramic seafront views.

Day 4

Zao Echo Line & Zao Onsen (Yamagata)

Zao Echo Line

Zao Echo Line is a 26km mountain sightseeing road that connects Tokarita Onsen and the Bodaira Plateau in Yamagata Prefecture. The attraction here is magnificent and the scenery of Zao, which changes beautifully with the seasons. From late April to mid of May, you can expect to witness its walls filled with white snows, while flourishing greenery can be seen in summer and red or yellow autumn leaves in fall. If you use the Zao Highline to reach the summit of Mt. Katta, you can see the mysterious appearance of Okama, the crater lake of Mt. Goshoku.

Zao Onsen

Zao Onsen is very popular for its ski and hot spring resort area. As their spring resorts were famous for their mineral-rich waters and it is said to be particularly effective on the skin, and is also known as "a hot spring for children to grow up in stronger condition" or "a hot spring for beautiful skin" which is familiar to the locals. When the weather turns warm, you can further explore and try out activities like hiking, cycling, or trekking into the wilds!

Day 5

Mt. Zao Skiing & ZAO LIZA RESTAURANT (Yamagata)

Mt. Zao Skiing

Mt. Zao Skiing is a big area extending from the hillside to the foot of Jizodake at an altitude of 1736m. It is the largest single ski resort with 25 slopes and courses, 4 ropeway gondola and 38 lifts. If you are interested to give it a try on skiing, there are skiing courses available to the public ranging from beginner to intermediate level. Most importantly, do not miss the famous snow monsters at the summits. The snow monsters were formed due to cold Siberian wind and insane ice freezes on the trees and the snow turns into monster-like shape. * Skiing is possible until April

Zao Liza Restaurant

Zao Liza Restaurant offers you unique dining experience! The window seats facing the slopes are a spectacular spot where you can enjoy the changing seasons. The cafeteria restaurant can fit up to 300 seats. What’s more? Their significant pizza uses a stone oven directly imported from Italy has attracted visitors all around the world! Aside from pizza, a variety of menus such as rice, pasta, and udon at reasonable prices are available too.

Day 6

Bunshokan, Mamigasaki Sakura Line, Uesugi Memorial Hall (Yamagata)

Bunshokan

Bunshokan, Yamagata - a brick building structure based on the early modern English reconstruction style, consisting of two buildings: the former prefectural office and the former prefectural capitol, is built in June 1918. The Bunshokan is also used for various cultural activities, including concerts, plays, exhibitions or local events that are held in its garden. Currently, it is open to the public as a prefectural folk museum, and in recent years it has also been used as a location for movies.

Mamigasaki Sakura Line

Mamigasaki Sakura Line has a row of cherry blossom trees line up along the Mamigasaki River that runs through Yamagata City. Since it is planted on both sides of the road, you can enjoy the cherry blossoms while looking from the train window or taking a leisurely stroll along the sidewalk. Also, the trees became famous due to its branches were grown near to one and another, and eventually Sakura tunnel has been formed and it looks so romantic!

Uesugi Memorial Hall

The Uesugi Memorial Hall was built in 1896 as the residence of Count Uesugi Mochinori. The highlight of the Uesugi Memorial Hall is the Japanese garden that imitates the Hamarikyu Gardens in Tokyo, and its beauty is one of the three great gardens of Yonezawa. It is also designated as a national registered tangible cultural property. The Uesugi Memorial Hall is also a restaurant that serves Yonezawa's local cuisine especially its famous delicacy, Yonezawa Beef Lunch.

Day 7

Goshikinuma Ponds, The World Glassware Hall & Minamigaoka Farm (Fukushima/ Tochigi)

Goshikinuma Ponds

Goshikinuma Ponds are a group of lakes scattered about 3.6 km. It is well-known for its color-changing water depending on the lake. There are multiple components that can cause this phenomenon, such as weather, season, viewing angle, and other factors that will affect the colours that you see. Besides, you also can enjoy rowboats session in the biggest pond like Goshikinuma and Bishamonnuma.

The World Glassware Hall

The World Glassware Hall, including Bohemian glass that keeps the world's finest brilliance, representative gems from European countries are luxuriously collected. There are approximately 25,000 handmade glassware items that were imported internationally are exhibited and being sold at the World Glassware Hall Museum. They are also offering visitors to try and experience the process of glass etching and glass blowing, that must be real fun!

Minamigaoka Farm

Minamigaoka Farm is a tourist farm located on a highland near Lake Inawashiro in Inawashiro Town. You can experience interacting with animals, savouring delicious gourmet food, selling dairy products made from the 200 rare Guernsey cows in Japan, and making ice cream. The petting zoo allows families and kids to play with rabbits, sheep, goats, and other animals. The farm also offers horse and donkey rides. The farm's restaurant lodge serves Jingisukan as well as borscht and other Russian dishes.

Day 8

Tsurugajo Park, Rinkaku - Japanese Tea House & Higashiyama Onsen (Fukushima)

Tsurugajo Park

Tsurugajo Park which consists the ruins of Tsuruga Castle, is known for the tragic story of Byakkotai. The Park that was built near the rebuilt castle has turned into a popular seasonal activities spot such as cherry blossom viewing and candle festivals. To enhance your cherry blossoms viewing experience, grab a blanket, prepare your food and drinks then find a spot and join the locals in partying and have fun together. During fall season, the castle grounds will light up at night in order to allow the autumn leaves to be noticeable and it feels so calm by looking at it.

Rinkaku

Rinkaku - Japanese Tea House of Soan-style. A Soan-style tea room had clay walls, with windows and an entrance that could be opened and closed, which is rare in eastern Japan and is an important cultural property designated by the prefecture. It was relocated and preserved after the Boshin War (1868-1869), but was returned to the castle in 1990. You can enjoy sweets and matcha at the tea ceremony in the premises.

Higashiyama Onsen

Higashiyama Onsen. A famous hot spring that is said to have been discovered by the famous priest Gyoki about 1300 years ago. The smooth sulphate spring is said to be effective against bruises and treatment for beautiful skin. A visit in autumn may leave all ryokan and hotel guests amazing experience in terms of bathing in a hot spring while viewing autumn leaves at the same time. For sightseeing, there are plenty of shops and restaurants in the area for you to enjoy local goods and cuisine.

Day 9

Iwakishi Sekitan Kasekikan & Spa Resort Hawaiians (Fukushima)

Iwakishi Sekitan Kasekikan

Iwakishi Sekitan Kasekikan. The Iwaki City Coal and Fossil Museum is a facility that displays the history of coal mining in the Joban coalfield, fossils excavated in the city, and fossil materials from other countries that tell the history of the earth. In the fossil exhibition room, all fossils are extremely precious and valuable throughout the world, even the sounds and lights have also been customized to suit the displays for best experiences. Besides, you can experience making ammonite specimens by taking measures against corona too!

Spa Resort Hawaiians

Spa Resort Hawaiians. A paradise with a room temperature of 28 degrees that combines the bright climate unique to the region with the atmosphere of the South Pacific Ocean. Aquamarine Fukushima. One of the largest aquariums in Tohoku where you can enjoy learning. Exhibiting more than 800 species of creatures under the theme of the sea of tides. "Waters of Tropical Asia" is one of its unique attractions that has the ability to recreate the waterside nature of tropical Asia. The best part is that the aquarium owns rare species of fishes and sea creatures, as well as a large collection of different types of goldfish to mesmerize their visitors.

AEON MALL Iwakionahama

AEON MALL Iwakionahama. Enjoy shopping for souvenirs at the shopping mall. You can also enjoy Fukushima gourmet food such as local restaurants.
