Participants Tasks

  1. Participants should plan an itinerary tailored to their preferences by themselves. Throughout the process, feedback and potential adjustments from the Organizer should be expected to ensure an enjoyable experience.
  2. Participants are responsible for making and managing all travel arrangements, with the exception of flight and travel insurance arrangements, which will be handled by the Secretariat.
  3. Participants are required to take photos/videos of themselves while planning and enjoying the tour. These photos/videos should be shared on participants’ social media accounts as well as JNTO’s platforms, and the original files should be submitted to JNTO after the tour. JNTO reserves the right to feature, edit, and reassemble the submitted photos and video footage, including those that feature participants, for promotional, marketing, and other purposes as deemed necessary.
  4. Participants are required to take a post-monitor tour survey to share feedback with the Organizer.

Application Method

For each Monitor Tour, Participants need to fill up and submit an online application form sharing information, such as:

  • A simple 2 or 3-day itinerary for a Monitor Tour (example is available in the application form)
  • Reason for Participants' interest in the selected Monitor Tour(s) and their main expectations for the tour(s)
  • Information about Participants' travel companion (Participants are not allowed to change their travel companion if selected for the Monitor Tour)
  • Participants' social media accounts and sample travel photos/videos if available

Participants may submit multiple applications for each Monitor Tour as long as they submit different versions of a simple 2 or 3-day itinerary for each Monitor Tour.

Participants Selection Process

Selection of successful Participants will be carried out by the Organizer. The details of selection and reason for final selection will not be disclosed. However, as the Organizer is looking for Participants who demonstrate good travel planning abilities, detailed and thoughtful answers to the following three questions in the application form will increase Participants’ chances of being selected.

1. Why you are passionate about travelling to Japan and your selected tour(s).

2. Share a simple 2 or 3-day itinerary for the Monitor Tour.

3. Please highlight the key points and most appealing parts of your itinerary.

If shortlisted Participants do not respond within three (3) days from the date of notification, the Organizer reserves the right to reselect and notify alternative Participants without being liable or responsible to the shortlisted Participants in any manner whatsoever.

We maintain a strict anti-scam policy and want to make it clear that we will never request or collect any sensitive financial information, including bank account details, credit card numbers, or any other personal financial data, from Participants.
