Learn (and Eat!) at the CupNoodles Museum
When Momofuku Ando invented Cup Noodles in 1971, he revolutionized the food industry. Discover the further innovations behind the iconic instant noodles at the CupNoodles Museum in Yokohama in Kanagawa Prefecture and Ikeda in Osaka Prefecture.
Both museums trace the history of the instant noodles’ humble beginnings, from Ando’s rustic work shed to the many groundbreaking efforts that led to the creation of Cup Noodles. There is also a display of all the versions of Cup Noodles ever produced.
No visit to the museum is complete without the signature experience at the My CUPNOODLES Factory, where you can create your very own Cup Noodles. First, start with designing your custom cup, then be as creative as you like with your soup flavor and dried toppings!
Curious to know what the ramen of other countries tastes like? Yokohama CupNoodles Museum’s retro-themed Noodles Bazaar-World Noodles Road features noodle dishes that Momofuku Ando encountered in his world travels. Sample a dish or two served in an Asian night market ambiance.
