See, touch and experience marine life!

B) Okinawa Churaumi Aquarium1

If you are a sea lover, definitely do not miss it.

The Okinawa Churaumi Aquarium is one of the largest aquariums in the world. Its massive Kuroshio Tank is home to the world’s largest fish, the Whale Shark. You’ll be able to see two whale sharks (one male and one female) swimming right in front of you. Bring your kids along to observe a rich variety of marine creatures including manta rays, whale sharks, and seahorses. Feeding shows are held twice daily and both adults and kids love the show.

There is also a freshwater pool where visitors can touch living starfish and sea cucumbers with their own hands. The Okinawa Churaumi Aquarium is part of the Ocean Expo Park on Motobu Peninsula, and other attractions such as dynamic dolphin shows, sea turtle pool and outdoor manatee pool are available too. Don’t forget to take a drive nearby, through the longest toll free bridge in Okinawa, Kouri bridge. Spanning in total of 1960m, it connects to Kouri Island, located in the ocean north of Motobu Peninsular and featuring the spectacular ocean views. Definitely a wonderful way to see Okinawa or feel the salt scented sea breeze.
