History of Yamanakako Hananomiyako Kouen

The Yamanakako Hananomiyako Kouen is a 300,000 square meter flower garden at Lake Yamanaka. The garden has different kinds of flowers blooming from Spring to Autumn.


Ideal budget

Entrance fee to the garden varies per season.

April 16 to October 15 & March 16 to April 15

   ■ Individual:

      • Adult – 500 yen

      • Elementary and Middle School Students – 200 yen

   ■ Group:

      • Adult – 400 yen

      • Elementary and Middle School Students – 150 yen

   ■ Persons with Disability:

      • Adult – 300 yen

      • Elementary and Middle School Students – 120 yen

October 16 to November 30

   ■ Individual:

      • Adult – 300 yen

      • Elementary and Middle School Students – 120 yen

   ■ Group:

      • Adult – 250 yen

      • Elementary and Middle School Students – 100 yen

   ■ Persons with Disability:

      • Adult – 180 yen

      • Elementary and Middle School Students – 80 yen

Admission is FREE from December 1 to March 15.

 

Best time to visit Yamanakako Hananomiyako Kouen

Different flowers bloom at different times, but almost every month there is a flower blooming. Check Yamanakako Hananomiyako Kouen’s website to know which flowers are in season.


Visiting guidelines

   ■ Pets are allowed to enter.

   ■ Wheelchair rental is available in the parking lot.

   ■ Lunch boxes or food for picnics are allowed inside.


Visiting hours

The Yamanakako Hananomiyako Kouen is open from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m (April 16 to October 15) and from 9:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. (October 16 to April 15).

The flower garden is closed on Tuesdays from December 1 to March 15, except on year-end and New Year holidays.

 

How to get there

Ride the Fujikko bus at Fujisan Station in Fujikyuko Line, then get off at Hananomiyako-Koen bus stop.
