Start the next morning in the Ogata district of Kuroshio Town. With pleasant weather and clear waters, spring is an excellent time for whale watching — a popular activity in Ogata. Couples can spot Bryde’s whales and even dolphins! Make unforgettable memories with your partner out in the scenic blue waters of the Pacific Ocean and share the excitement of watching these majestic creatures in their natural environment.

As the day winds down, relax under the lavender-pink hues of the setting sun. Spring nights at Nokka are made for cosying up outdoors, enjoying the serene ambience as the skies transform with vibrant colours.

Spend the morning strolling along Nokka on the beach, savouring the peacefulness of your romantic getaway. After breakfast, take a scenic drive around Kochi Prefecture to explore some lesser-known cherry blossom viewing spots!

Cherry Blossoms at Kochi Castle

Within a 2-hour drive from Nokka, Kochi Castle is a prime cherry blossom viewing location. Alternatively, take the JR Line, with JR Tosa-Irino station just a 10-minute walk from Nokka. The 90-minute train ride to Kochi Station passes through the rich nature of Kochi, creating a tender moment that feels straight out of a movie scene. From Kochi Station, couples can hop on a tram to Kochi Castle.

Kochi Castle boasts hundreds of cherry trees that bloom in stages, offering an extended viewing period and a higher chance of catching the blossoms in full bloom. The soft pink blooms against the white castle walls make for a picture-perfect scene as you stroll along the historical grounds.

Note: Cherry trees in Kochi are predicted to bloom between late March to mid-April 2025. Please check official sources for updates before planning your visit.
