Farewell Dinner for the 2007 Japan Exchange and Teaching Program (JETs) at the Japanese Ambassador's house (67th street between Madison and Fifth Avenue) Friday, July 27, 2007 5pm-7pm The event started off with a speech from the Ambassador and Consul General of Japan in New York, Motoatsu Sakurai. There was various types of food and the famous Ambassador's house's Japanese curry was available to everyone. Many individuals from the Japan Local Government Center (JLGC) were there. There were quite a few familiar faces at this event for me since the Japan National Tourist Organization (JNTO) played on the same team as JLGC a week and a half ago at JETAANY's softball tournament.
This year's JETs. The JETs departed this past weekend on Saturday, July 28. Good luck to them!
