This past Saturday, July 21, 2007 was JETAANY's (Japan Exchange and Teaching Alumni Association - New York) annual softball tournament. The Japan National Tourist Organization (JNTO) played on the Japan Local Government Center's (JLGC) team. JLGC also took on additional people in order to have a total of sixteen players. We played three games back to back, which was exhausting. The teams which we played in order were: Quick USA, Docomo and JETAA. The first game started at around 9:30am and the last game ended around 3pm. We didn't do too well, but in our last game we scored ten runs, which was awesome. We even had a grand slam!
Tei san playing first base The weather was great! The sun was shinning and luckily the breeze cooled us down. It was maybe dumb of me that I forgot sun tan lotion. I think most of us got burnt or got a tan since we were out all-day.
Fujiwara san playing shortstop At about 12 or 1pm, we ate obentou together. Most of my teammates ordered beef. It was delicious after playing two games. On the whole, we did not hurt ourselves too badly and we had fun!
