Gunma | Hot Springs in Ikaho

Onsen, history, townscapes, and people... Everything here warms your heart, Ikaho Onsen
Ikaho is a hot spring resort located in Gunma Prefecture famous for the two types of onsen water. One is called Kogane no Yu, a brown-tinted water containing iron good for nerve pain, sore muscles, and aching joints. The other type is called Shirogane no Yu, a clear onsen water good for after-illness recoveries, fatigue, and overall health enhancement. Ikaho is also famous for 365 stone-steps, with each step representing each day of the year. On both sides of the stairs are hot springs hotels and souvenir shops, as well as stores selling bow and arrows and other games.
