Experience a Kobe beef dinner with Japanese sake in a private space that combines an aquarium with digital art
Hyogo Tourism Bureau
Atoa (branded as átoa) opened in the Kobe Bay Area in 2021 as a theatrical aquarium that combines performing arts and digital art. This is a unique facility that incorporates a Japanese aesthetic.
The idea behind the aquarium was to provide a new style of aquarium in an era when people's interests are becoming more diverse. Consequently, the aquarium lets guests enjoy sound and light performances and a variety of concept rooms. There is also a corner displaying wall art to deepen understanding of blue carbon, which is attracting attention as a countermeasure against global warming.
For dinner, enjoy the marriage of a Kobe beef course dinner and delicious sake selected by a sake sommelier while listening to live jazz from Kobe, the birthplace of Japanese jazz, all in a space with one of Japan's largest spherical aquariums. You can even rent out the aquarium after closing time for a special dinner experience limited to one group per day.
