The following terms and conditions (“Terms and Conditions”) apply to the Create Your 5 Joyful Japan Moments IG Reel Contest (the “Contest”) organized by Japan National Tourism Organization (JNTO Kuala Lumpur Office) (the “Organizer”) and managed by the official appointed agency, Clozette Malaysia Sdn. Bhd. (the “Secretariat”), conducted through the Organizer’s corporate website (https://www.japan.travel/en/my/), the Instagram page of the Organizer's corporate brand, Visit MY Japan (@visitmyjapan) and the Facebook page of the Organizer's corporate brand, Visit MY Japan (@visitmyjapan). By submitting an application to the Contest, Participants (as hereinafter defined) agrees and acknowledges that they have read, understood and accepted the Terms and Conditions. The Organizer reserves the right to make any amendments, additions, replacements and modifications to the Terms and Conditions from time to time without prior notice.

Contest Period Start: 20 November 2024 11:00 Malaysia Time
Eligibility The Contest is open to all Malaysian citizens of age 18 years and above, who are living in Malaysia. (“Participants”)
**Japan National Tourism Organization (“JNTO”) Kuala Lumpur office & Clozette Malaysia Sdn. Bhd. staff and their direct family members are not eligible for the Contest. If any of the Participants found out to be related to any of the relevant parties stated above, he/she will be disqualified for the Contest immediately.
Method of Entry To enter the Contest, Participants must do the following: 1) Create and Share: Post a NEW Instagram reel (30 seconds to 3 minutes) showcasing 5 Joyful Japan Moments. Participants can join the contest no matter if they have visited Japan or not. 2) Add In-Video Text or Narration: Within the reel, Participants should use on-screen text/subtitle overlays or voice narration to share what kind of traveler(s) they are (e.g., “We’re seekers of bold adventures”) and describe the 5 Joyful Japan Moments they have chosen. 3) Include Hashtags: Before sharing the reel, Participants make sure to include the hashtags #AJapanForYou2024, #CreateYourJoyfulJapan, and #klookmy in the caption and set their Instagram account to public. 4) Submit Your Entry: Participants must complete their entry by filling up the Google Form with the link to their IG reel. Only entries submitted via this form will be officially eligible.
Important Content Guidelines • Locations: Participants can include content of any location within Japan in their IG Reel while content of lesser known areas in Japan is most welcomed. Those who have not been to Japan may still participate by creating content inspired by Japan, including but not limited to original illustrations, participation in Japan related events, etc. • Content: Participants must use their own photos/videos or royalty-free images, music, and stickers, and credit all sources properly. Entries must not infringe on the intellectual property rights of any third party, including but not limited to copyright, trademarks, or service marks. Content should also not contain anything defamatory, offensive, or harmful, or that could bring the Organizer or its affiliates into disrepute. • Production Expenses: The Organizer will not be responsible for any production expenses incurred by the Participant, including costs for stock images, videos, etc.
Limitation of Liability The Organizer, its affiliates, sponsors, agents, and representatives are not responsible for any loss, injury, or damages (including direct, indirect, special, or consequential damages) that may arise from or relate to the Contest, the Prize, or the Participant’s involvement in the Contest, whether due to contract issues, negligence, or other legal reasons.
Maximum Number of Entries Participants may submit up to FIVE (5) entries as long as each entry has unique visuals and caption contents. Duplicated entries with same or similar contents will be considered as only 1 entry.
Prizes and Winners There will be a total of ten (10) Prizes. • Grand Prize – Best JNTO Concept Video (2 winners): Each winner will receive a pair of economy flight tickets to Japan (1 pair on ANA and 1 pair on JAL). • Best Production Award (2 winners): Each winner will receive a RM300 Klook voucher for Klook’s Japan products. • Special Recognition Award (6 winners): Each winner will receive a special merchandise from JNTO Kuala Lumpur.
Judging Process Each entry will be judged and scored by the Organizer based on these criteria:
• Content Uniqueness (40%) - The uniqueness of chosen 5 unique Joyful Japan Moments that highlight Japanese elements, either from the Participant's past experiences in Japan or from their own research. • Creativity (20%) - The creativity of the video in terms of storytelling, visual appeal, and originality. This includes innovative angles, transitions, or editing techniques that make the content engaging and distinctive. • Technical Skill (20%) - How well the video is produced in regards to image clarity, sound quality, editing and adherence to the video duration requirement of 30 seconds to 3 minutes. • Content Relevance (20%) - How well the reel on-screen text/subtitle overlays or voice narration answers the designated question “What kind of traveler(s) you are” and describes each of the 5 chosen Joyful Japan Moments.
All entries must be the original, independent work of the Participant and free of any third-party claims or infringements. Prizes will be awarded to the best entries, as determined by the Organizer’s judging panel. The Organizer reserves the right to disqualify any Participant whose entry, in the judges' opinion, contains objectionable content or fails to meet the entry requirements. The Organizer’s decision is final, and no further correspondence will be entertained.
Notification of Winners Each winner will be notified by the Secretariat via the Organizer’s Instagram account private direct messaging function (https://www.instagram.com/visitmyjapan/) or via the Secretariat’s email (jnto-my@clozette.co) within 1.5 months after the end of the Contest period.
To facilitate prize verification, reservation, and delivery, winners will be required to provide personal information, including a copy of their MyKad, copy of utility bill for residency proof, address, contact number, etc.
If a winner does not respond and claim the prize within seven (7) days from the date of the winner notification, the winner shall be deemed to have forfeited the prize and the Organizer reserves the right to select and notify an alternative winner. Any winner whose prize has been unclaimed/unredeemed or forfeited hereunder shall not be entitled to any payment or compensation.
Prize Conditions for Grand Prize – Best JNTO Concept Video The following prize conditions apply to each of the two (2) Grand Prizes – Best JNTO Concept Video. Each Grand Prize includes a pair of economy-class flight tickets to Japan (one (1) pair on ANA and one (1) pair on JAL, as assigned by the Organizer.
The value of each Grand Prize varies depending on travel dates and route availability. Each Grand Prize covers round-trip tickets to Tokyo (Haneda/Narita) with a maximum value of MYR4,500 per ticket (or a total of MYR9,000 for two tickets), including fuel surcharges and other relevant taxes. Travel insurance is NOT INCLUDED and must be paid for by the Grand Prize winner.
Should the total value for the two air tickets exceed MYR9,000 for a chosen travel date, the Grand Prize winner will have to choose another travel date with total value for the two air tickets not exceeding MYR9,000 or the Grand Prize winner may have the option to top up in cash, the difference in amount exceeding MYR9,000.
The Grand Prize winner shall redeem and book their flight ticket through the Secretariat, Clozette Pte Ltd. The contact details of the Secretariat will be shared along with the winner notification and it shall be the Grand Prize winner's responsibility to take such steps to make contact with the Secretariat so as to redeem the flight tickets and conclude a booking.
To facilitate the flight booking, the Grand Prize winner will be required to provide personal information, including passport copy, email address, etc.
The Grand Prize flight booking must be for direct flights from Malaysia Kuala Lumpur International Airport to Tokyo Haneda/Narita Airport on the designated airline companies (ANA / JAL).
The Grand Prize must be booked by 28 February 2025 at the latest. The Grand Prize winner’s desired travel date must be set at least two (2) weeks later from the Grand Prize booking date. The travel date must be before 31 December 2025.
If the Grand Prize has not been redeemed and booked by 28 February 2025, it will be deemed forfeited, and strictly have no extensions. The Organizer reserves the right to select and notify an alternative Grand Prize winner in accordance with the Judging Process.
The Grand Prize is non-refundable, non-transferable, non-resellable, non-exchangeable for cash, credit, goods or benefits-in-kind, and non-extendable in validity. There shall be no refund, transfers, exchanges or extensions for any partially used or unused Prize. The Organizer reserves the right to replace or change prizes with items of similar value without prior notice.
Prize Conditions for Best Production Award Each of the two (2) Klook vouchers Best Production Awards are applicable only for Japan products on Klook.
To facilitate prize delivery, winners’ personal information (such as Klook account ID, name, gender, email address, etc.) may be shared with Klook Malaysia solely for voucher redemption purposes.
The Best Production Award must be redeemed before 31 Dec 2025. If the Award has not been redeemed prior to said date, it shall be deemed forfeited, and no extensions will be granted.
Anti-Scam Notification The Organizer is committed to ensuring a fair and secure Contest experience for all Participants. We maintain a strict anti-scam policy and want to make it clear that we will never request or collect any sensitive financial information, including bank account details, credit card numbers, OTP, or any other personal financial data, from Participants. If you encounter any communication or requests from sources claiming to be affiliated with our Contest and asking for such information, please consider it a scam and report it to us via email (info_kul@jnto.go.jp) immediately. We will never initiate contact with you to request such information, and we strongly advise you to exercise caution and not share any sensitive financial data with anyone claiming to represent our Contest. Your safety and privacy are of utmost importance to us.
