The Bay Area features attractive port scenery viewed from the time-honored red brick warehouses. Visitors can also enjoy souvenir shopping here.
Red brick warehouse group
This group of warehouses began with the opening of the first Watanabe Kumiroro in 1887 (Meiji 20). The current warehouse group was rebuilt in 1909 (Meiji 42) after the big fire in 1907 (Meiji 40), part of the building was utilized for restaurants and souvenir shops. The waterfront is also becoming a tourist attraction.
