The Pacific Cycling Road is a 1,400-kilometer-long route that runs from the city of Choshi in Chiba Prefecture along the Pacific Coast, all the way to Wakayama City in Wakayama Prefecture. This expansive National Cycling Route is scenic throughout all the prefectures it passes through, but especially in the 294-kilometer-long stretch in Mie, which begins at Toba Station. The whole area is part of Ise-Shima National Park, and offers unforgettable seaside views of raft-dotted Toba Bay and Ise Bay, as well as the opportunity to stop by Ise Jingu, an incredible spiritual site that is one of Japan’s most important shrines, and other historic spots.
