Goshiki-hama Beach
Goshiki-hama Beach

A beach famous for sunsets and the five colors of its pebbles

Goshikihama Beach is on the western coast of Awaji Island and offers fantastic views of the blue waters of the Seto Inland Sea. The name Goshiki refers to the five colors of the beach's pebbles, which shine like gems as the sun sets. The western orientation of the beach offers fantastic views of the sunset.

How to Get There

The beach is best accessed by car.

In addition to driving by car, an irregular bus service runs between the beach and Sumoto City on Awaji Island.

On the Sunset Line

The road behind the beach is known as the Sunset Line due to the excellent sunsets visible from this road. There are numerous places built along the Sunset Line providing food, drink and entertainment.
