Kusatsu Kokusai Ski Resort 草津国際スキー場
Hit the Slopes and Revive in World Class Hot Springs
Kusatsu International Ski Resort, also known by its Japanese name Kusatsu Kokusai Ski Resort, is conveniently located close to the main hot springs in Kusatsu Onsen.
The ski resort is on the main road leading up to Mt Kusatsu-Shirane. The road is closed in the winter months to extend the ski runs. You'll find one of Japan's longest continuous ski runs here, at over 8km.
Open from mid-December to the beginning of April
Open daily from 8:30am until 5:00pm
A "Nighta" pass is from 5:00-9:00pm every Saturday from 29th December 2017 until 17th March 2018, 7th January and 11th February 2018.
The Kids Park is free for accompanying adults
How to Get There
The closest station is Naganohara Kusatsuguchi on the Agatsuma Line. You can take the bus from there to Kusatsu Onsen Bus Terminal, then hop on a free shuttle bus to the ski resort (5 minutes).
It is possible to walk to Kusatsu Ski Resort from town; it takes around 15-20 minutes from central Kusatsu.
