How to Get There
Accessible by car, taxi or bus. For ease of travel, it is recommended to go by car.
Coming via car from Miyazaki, head toward Aoshima on Route 220. Before you cross Oyodo River bridge, take a left at the last major intersection onto Route 11. Follow that all the way to Miyazaki Port, then turn left onto Hitotsuba Toll Road. Take the Sheraton Seagaia Exit—you will see the towering Sheraton hotel on your left.
The Sheraton Hotel, on the grounds of the Phoenix Seagaia Resort area, is Miyazaki's most prominent hotel.
Play a round on a championship level golf course
One of the biggest attractions of the Phoenix Seagaia Resort area are the high-quality golf courses. Enthusiasts from all over Asia come to these parts every week to play a round at these courses.
The courses include the Tom Watson golf course, designed by PGA star player Tom Watson, and the Phoenix Country Club which is home to one of the Japanese Golf Tour's biggest tournaments every November.
From spring to autumn, you can even play night golf. Reserve your round with the Sheraton Hotel staff in advance.
Stay active in the cool, lush forests nearby
Opposite the ocean is an entire forest area with dedicated walkways and cycling paths. It's cool in the summer and you can spend hours among the trees.
