Just south of Okinawa's main island lies the tropical island paradise, Ishigaki. A popular diving destination for the large migration of Manta rays that pass through the area known as the Manta Scramble, Ishigaki has begun to top traveler’s bucket lists and was recently named Trip Advisor’s top Destination on the Rise for 2018. This island may be small but it packs a great many activities and its easy connection by ferry to neighboring Iriomote and Taketomi islands makes island hopping a breeze.
