The Japan National Tourism Organization is pleased to announce another record-breaking year for international tourism to Japan with over 30 million foreign visitors in 2018. Travelers from the United States also broke records with an 11% increase in travel to Japan over 2017. Japan is well on its way to realizing the goal of 40 million international travelers by 2020, just in time for the Tokyo Summer Olympic Games.
