The Capitol Hotel Tokyu has been honored with a Five-Star rating from Forbes Travel Guide in its 2021 Edition. This flagship property of the Tokyu Hotels is conveniently located in Tokyo's Akasaka business and embassy district, adjacent to historic Hie Shrine. Throughout 2020 the hotel has been celebrating ten years since it reopened its doors in 2010 after a complete four-year renewal of the original 1963 facility. The building now celebrating its 10-year anniversary was designed by world-renowned architect Kengo Kuma, who is the architect behind Tokyo's new National Stadium, the main venue for Tokyo's July 2021 Olympic and Paralympic Games.
