Real-Time Route Search: JR East’s useful new train travel tool!
JR East is very happy to introduce a useful addition to its homepage: the new Real-Time Route Search option. This service allows travelers to do point-to-point searches, by date, for trains and buses throughout Japan: from high-speed Shinkansen trains down to local trains. If you visit the JR East homepage you can enter through the large green bar labeled Route search & Reservation. This service is new and extensive so it is still evolving; there will be changes and improvements. It is called Real-Time because it shows schedule changes and delays. Please take a look and give it a try!
