New Premium “Supreme Class” Begins October 1, 2026
Starting in October 2026, a new premium seating class, “Supreme Class,” will be introduced on the Tokaido and Sanyo Shinkansen. It will offer a higher level of comfort, amenities, and services than those available in Green Car.
To better meet the increasingly diverse needs of our customers amid evolving lifestyles and ways of working, we will provide a refined travel environment suitable for a wide range of purposes and occasions.
Service begins on October 1, 2026. Reservations opened on September 15, 2026, at 5:30 a.m. For subsequent travel dates, reservations open at 10:00 a.m. one month before the departure date. Available through Tokaido Sanyo Kyushu Shinkansen Online Reservation Service.
Please note that the One-Year Advance Reservation service is not available for Supreme Class.
