Mindful MITATE Tea Ceremony Comes to Hotel Chinzanso Tokyo’s Japanese Garden
Hotel Chinzanso Tokyo debuts the Mindful MITATE Tea Ceremony, a experience exclusively for overnight guests. Led by ceramic artist and tea master Shota Yamada, with English support available, guests first select and examine a tea bowl inside Zangetsu, a nationally registered tangible cultural property teahouse, sharing impressions along the way. They then move to the lawn before the three-story pagoda, another registered cultural property, normally closed to guests and opened only for this experience, to watch Yamada prepare tea and taste it themselves. We promise a distinctive, Hotel Chinzanso Tokyo–unique take on the tea ceremony, unlike any traditional practice.
