HOME > Japan’s Local Treasures > Organic Farming and Glamping in Tokachi

Savor the flavors of this bountiful area of Hokkaido, experiencing organic produce, wine, and even crafts

Hokkaido District Transport Bureau

The Tokachi region is located in the southeastern part of Hokkaido. It is a great destination for farm-to-table foodies thanks to its ideal climate and natural scenery along with the efforts of local producers.

Join the Tokachi Organic Farms and Glamping Premium Tour and go on a journey to discover the stories behind the seasonal bounty and flavors of this agricultural region of Hokkaido.

Tokachi is home to many farmers who practice organic farming, and during the tour, guests will visit an organic vineyard, crop farm, and berry orchard to learn about their farming practices and sample their tasty products. You will also enjoy a special organic lunch or dinner and take part in a handicraft activity that makes use of upcycled vegetables. In the evening, retire to your comfortably appointed glamping tent, or sit out and gaze at the stars.

The tour runs from late July to early August, allowing you to enjoy Tokachi’s most beautiful season. The climate is comfortable with low humidity, so you can take full advantage of the tour for exploring, tasting, and relaxing.

How to get there

Take a direct flight from Haneda Airport to Tokachi Obihiro Airport (about 1 hour and 30 minutes), then a bus from the airport to Obihiro Station (about 40 minutes).
