Family-friendly forest camping
Miike Camp Village is the place to come for clean air, rich greenery, crystal-clear waters and excellent fishing. It is surrounded by a forest teeming with rare birds and situated close to Japan’s deepest crater lake. Bring your own tent, or choose from cottages, bungalows, or pre-pitched tents. Two of the forest cabins are also wheelchair accessible.
Walk along the Miike Wild Birds' Forest Trail to catch a glimpse of rare birds species such as the fairy pitta, ruddy kingfisher, and forest wagtail. Fish for carp or rainbow trout at Miike Crater Lake. In summer, make a splash in the water plaza, a collection of family-friendly pools designed to help you escape the heat.
