Get up close and personal with nature on Yakushima

Let your inner photographer bloom on a full-day course with a photo professional who will guide your explorations around Yakushima. This tour allows you to try out various photographic techniques such as slow motion, time lapse, soundscape, drone, and other means to record the world around you. Two course options are available: the Kohanayama Course, centered on the mystical ancient forests, and the Shiratani Unsuikyo Course that brings visitors from the eponymous ravine to the giant granite boulder known as Taikoiwa Rock.

Visitors must supply their own camera. The guide will provide detailed instructions and recommendations for other preparations. Lasting eight hours and available year-round, this experience will both deepen your technical knowledge of photography and give you a newfound appreciation for the perfectly composed nature photo.
