Ohana's summer event "Kikai Yakou"

Ohana is the residence of the Tachibana family - the former feudal lords of Yanagawa, Fukuoka. This year, Ohana will be collaborating with Ito Gonjiro Shoten - a lantern shop located in Fukuoka's Yame City, which has been in business for over 200 years - to hold "Kikai Yakou", an exhibition event showcasing depictions of yokai (Japan's supernatural folklore entities)  through lanters and other craft. This year, the "Kikai Yakou" event will be held from August 4 to 6, 11 to 13, and 18 to 20, 2023, with further special collaboration of Moriyama Kasuri Workshop, a historic Kurume Kasuri, a fabric workshop established in the Edo period.
