February is sake month in Ontario！ In celebration of UNESCO's recent recognition of sake as an Intangible Cultural Heritage, JETRO has collaborated with LCBO to offer a curated selection of craft sake at participating locations throughout the month. As part of the celebration, JETRO will partner with JNTO and other Japanese government agencies to host “Next Stop: Japan-Raising a Glass to Sake” Feb 7 & 8, 2025, on the second floor of the Eaton Centre.
The event will feature several cultural performances, as well as mini seminars from sake sommelier Michael Tremblay! In addition, Japan Foundation will also be hosting a special sake lecture by Mr. Tremblay, followed by a tasting experience by the Sake Institute of Ontario on February 7th, from 7PM-9PM (registration required; see website for details.)
