A Hot Spring Inn of Unrivaled Luxury

Located in a national park on an island overlooking a bay, MOKU ISESHIMA has a royal suite of great splendor.

Staying in a Japanese country inn is a luxury, but MOKU ISESHIMA takes it to a whole new level. The Yado Terasu Royal Suite is a generous 370 square meters, divided equally between indoor and outdoor spaces. Out on the terrace, you can swim in the infinity pool, soak in the open-air cypress-wood bath, or work up a sweat in the sauna, before fetching a nice bottle of wine from the private cellar to sip by the fire pit. The indoor space, which accommodates up to eight guests, has two bedrooms with wonderful sea views, a kitchen, a living room, and two more indoor baths.

The sushi dinner is sure to be a highlight of your stay. A renowned sushi master who moved to Ago Bay in 2017, lured by the scenery and the abundance of fish, transforms the very best of that day’s local catch into delicious sushi for your exclusive delectation. After dinner, enjoy a night cap at the floating bar by the sea.

You can take a dawn cruise, go on a forest walk as the sun rises, or spend the day fishing by the pier. MOKU ISESHIMA also has a network of tour designers and guides who can come up with the perfect custom activity for you to make the most of your stay.

Access: From Nagoya Station, walk to Kintetsu Nagoya Station, take a 2-hour express train to Kashiko-jima Station, walk to Kashiko-jima Port, and take a 20-minute ocean cab ride. A helicopter shuttle service is also available.
