See the best sights around Urabandai in Fukushima Prefecture from the air on this exciting helicopter adventure
Aizuwakamatsu Tourism Bureau
Get panoramic vistas of Bandai-Asahi National Park, Japan's second largest national park, from the air on this 20-minute helicopter flight that departs from near the Numajiri Kogen Lodge.
Rising before you is unmissable Mt. Bandai, the symbol of the Aizu region of Fukushima Prefecture. One of Japan’s most famous peaks, it is also known as “treasure mountain" for the many blessings it bestows, such as dramatic scenery, hot springs, and clear water.
Fly over Lake Inawashiro, the fourth largest lake in Japan, so placid that it is said to be the “mirror of the sky.” Get an unimpeded view of the Goshikinuma ponds and lakes, which each display different water colors. Although their collective name means “five color ponds,” you will see far more hues, as each changes due to the weather, season, and volcanic substances contained in the water. On clear days, you will also spot Mt. Adatara, an active stratovolcano, in the distance.
Get a view of Fukushima’s nature like no other on this exciting helicopter tour of the national park.
