Beautiful fall colors amid the stunning garden design of Yuushien
Matsue City, Shimane Prefecture
Yuushien is a traditional Japanese-style garden designed as a walk-through garden with ponds, streams, and small waterfalls. Many Japanese gardens do not allow you to walk inside them, but rather only allow you to view them from the outside. Yuushien, however, allows you to immerse yourself in its natural beauty for a truly relaxing experience.
Yuushien is best known for its peonies, which can be viewed all year round in their climate-controlled room. However, Yuushien also boasts a large number of maple trees that display beautiful fall colors every year, making Yuushien a popular destination during the fall.
Simply seeing the fall colors reflected in the garden’s pond is well worth the visit. Whether you visit the garden during the day or in the evening for the fall illumination display, the fall colors remain a beautiful sight.
Visitors can enjoy a beautiful view of the garden while at the facility’s cafe or over a meal made from local, seasonal ingredients at a number of its restaurants. Yuushien can be enjoyed with all of your senses, which is another of its many charms.
