Yakage Town Tourism Exchange Promotion Organization
Set in the historical district of Yakage Town in Okayama Prefecture, Yakage-Ya Inn and Suites is a traditional Japanese-style inn renovated from a 220-year-old house. Facing a quaint street that still retains the atmosphere of Edo period (1603-1867), the inn offers calm accommodation filled with the scent of wood and is the ideal place for a relaxing stay. All rooms are decorated in a mix of Japanese and Western styles and are designed to ensure guests’ comfort and convenience. A calcium carbonate artificial hot spring bath is also available, along with a stone sauna made from local stone and an open-air bath in the Annex, and authentic Japanese cuisine, prepared with the best seafood from the Seto Inland Sea and locally harvested produce, is served at the restaurant. Certified as the first Albergo Diffuso (a “scattered” hotel that offers a new concept of hospitality) in Asia, Yakage-Ya Inn and Suites is about an hour drive from Okayama Airport, and about 50 minutes by train from Okayama Station.
