"Beyond the Cities, Into the Heart of Japan" Lucky Draw Terms and Conditions

 

Japan National Tourism Organization Singapore Office (hereafter referred to as the Organiser) invites Participants (hereafter referred to as “You” or “Participant”) to participate in the “Beyond the Cities, Into the Heart of Japan” lucky draw campaign (hereafter referred to as “Campaign”).

The Organiser reserves the right to cancel or amend the Campaign and the terms and conditions of this Campaign (
Terms and Conditions) at any time without prior notice. Any changes will be posted on the official website. By participating in and continuing to participate in the Campaign, you agree to these Terms and Conditions as may be amended from time to time.

 

Terms and Conditions

  • Eligibility

  • 1) Only Participants who meet the following eligibility criteria can participate in the Campaign (Eligibility Criteria):
  •        i.  The Participant must be individuals who are residents of Singapore.
  •        ii.  The Participant must be at least 21 years old.
  •        iii.  The Participant must have submitted their entry during the Campaign Period (also known as the “Participation Period” below).
  •        iv.  Employees and immediate families of the Organiser, its affiliates, subsidiaries, suppliers, and advertising and media agencies associated with this Campaign are not eligible to participate.
  •        v.  Corporations or other entities are not eligible to participate in this Campaign.
  •  
  • ​​2) The Organiser may from time to time amend or add to the Eligibility Criteria.
  •  
  • 3) If the Participant is deemed to have undertaken any fraudulent activities and/or any other activities harmful to this Campaign, the Organiser, the entry process and/or the relevant website, the Organiser reserves the right to disqualify and remove the Participant from the Campaign without any prior notice.
  •  
  • 4) Any Participant who does not meet the Eligibility Criteria may be disqualified or removed by the Organiser from the Campaign without any prior notice.

 

  • Participation Period

  • 7 August 2025 06:00 SGT to 3 September 2025 21:00 SGT (hereafter referred to as Participation Period). Participation Period is strictly enforced. Only entries that are submitted during the Participation Period stated above will be entered into the draw.

 

  • Participation Method

  • By participating in the Campaign, Participants are deemed to have fully read, understood, and agreed to be bound by the Terms and Conditions of the Campaign.
  •  
  • Participants can participate in the Campaign through the following steps:
  •  
  • 1) Scan the QR code for this Campaign displayed at any of the following OOH media locations:
  • - Dhoby Ghaut Station
  • - Serangoon Station
  • - In-Cab Display Nationwide
  • - Downtown Line Train Interior
  • 2) Access the special Campaign website via the QR code and click the “Enter Now!” button.
  • 3) You will be directed to complete a short survey.
  • 4) Upon completion of the survey, a confirmation email with the draw number will be sent to the email you used to submit the survey. This number confirms a valid submission entry into the lucky draw.
  •  
  • *Participating via multiple entries by the same Participant is not allowed and such entries, as well as the Participant, will be deemed to be disqualified.

 

  • Selection and Final Results

  • Winners will be selected through a random draw conducted by the Organiser via an Instagram livestream on the Organiser’s official account: @visitjapansg, to be held after the end of the Participation Period. The date of the livestream will be announced at a later time on JNTO Singapore Office’s official website’s What’s New section. The Organiser and this Campaign are not affiliated with Instagram.

  • The live draw will be conducted in a fair and impartial manner, and the results will be final. No correspondence regarding the draw process or results will be entertained. Winners do not need to be present during the draw and will be notified via the email address provided during submission. If a winner cannot be contacted or fails to respond within the time specified in the notification, the Organiser reserves the right to select an alternative winner.
  •  
  • Participants undertake that they shall not seek to recover and shall not be entitled to recover from the Organiser or to be indemnified by the Organiser against any direct, indirect or consequential loss, damage, costs, fees or expenses howsoever sustained, incurred or paid by the Participant as a consequence of participation in this Campaign. In no event shall the Participant seek to join the Organiser as a party, or otherwise make the Organiser a party, to any such claims, actions or proceedings.

 

  • Campaign Prize

  • A total of two (2) winners will be selected, and each winner is entitled to only one (1) prize.
  • The prizes are as follows:
  • One (1) Winner x One (1) ANA Business Class Return Ticket from Singapore to Japan
  • One (1) Winner x Two (2) ANA Economy Class Return Tickets from Singapore to Japan

 

  • Base cost of the air tickets is fully covered. Other fees and charges, such as airport taxes and fuel surcharges, are excluded and to be borne by the respective winners.   • Prizes are non-exchangeable, non-transferable, and cannot be redeemed for cash or other items. The Organiser reserves the right to substitute the prize with another of equivalent value without prior notice. Prizes are arranged with support from ANA.

 

  • Campaign Prize Terms and Conditions

  • Terms and conditions of prize redemption will be provided to the winners at the time of redemption. These will follow the relevant ANA ticketing and travel policies, which may include but are not limited to conditions such as designated arrival airports, applicable flight taxes, and blackout travel dates.

  • Use and Collection of Personal Information

  • By agreeing to participate in this Campaign, Participants signify that they have fully read, understood, and agreed to be bound by these Terms and Conditions, the Organiser’s conditions of use on the website, and the Privacy Policy of the organiser and any third party providers’ services used in this Campaign.
     
  • You consent that the information collected will be used by the Organiser solely for the purpose of contacting you regarding prize collection.
  •  
  • Certain functionalities required for this Campaign are managed by third party providers. By entering yourself into this Campaign, you consent to your personal information being shared with, processed, and stored by such third-party providers in accordance with their respective privacy policies.
  •  
  • For this Campaign, Wave Evolution is managing the handling and storing of your personal information. By entering yourself into this Campaign through the survey, you consent to your personal information being shared with, processed and stored by Wave Evolution in accordance with their privacy policies which can be found at: https://www.waveevo.com/privacy-policy-wave-evolution.html.
  •

  • Disclaimer

  • The Organiser excludes, to the maximum extent permissible by law, all conditions and warranties implied by customs, the general law or statute. The Organiser further excludes, to the maximum extent permissible by law, all liability to the Participant or any third party for any losses or damage, whether direct, indirect, incidental, consequential or otherwise, or any costs, fees or expenses, arising out of or in connection with their participation in this Campaign, including without limitation loss of profits, and damages arising from personal injuries (including death), even if the Organiser has been advised of the possibility of such loss or damage.
  •  
  • The Organiser is not liable for network connection expenses caused by system errors or failures in the Campaign website. Participants will shoulder any fees incurred during or for the sake of participation (i.e., internet connection).

 

  • Governing Law

  • All rights and obligations of the Organiser and the Participant are governed by the laws applicable in Singapore.

 

  • Dispute Resolution

  • All disputes, controversies or differences arising out of or in connection with these Terms and Conditions, including any question regarding its existence, validity or termination, or arising out of or in connection with your use of our products or services (“Disputes”) shall, before or after the commencement of any other proceedings, be first referred to mediation before not more than 2 mediators selected by us at our discretion, and any settlement reached shall comply with the relevant domestic legislation governing mediations under the United Nations Convention on International Settlement Agreements Resulting from Mediation (“Singapore Convention”).
  •  
  • If the Dispute cannot be resolved through mediation within 8 weeks after a notice to mediate, the parties shall submit the Dispute to arbitration with the seat of arbitration either in Singapore or in Japan, as may be decided by us. The arbitration shall be by a single arbitrator and shall be conducted in English.
  •  
  • If the arbitration is seated in Singapore, it shall be subject to the Arbitration Rules of the Singapore International Arbitration Centre for the time being in force.
  •  
  • If the arbitration is seated in Japan, it shall be subject to the Arbitration Rules of the Japan International Dispute Resolution Center for the time being in force.
  •  
  • Where any matter is not arbitrable or where any form of interim relief is required that can only be made by a court of law, the parties shall submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Singapore.

 

  • Miscellaneous  

  • All communications required to be given must be sent to the address of the recipient (including email addresses) or by such other means as the Organiser may specify.
  •  
  • The parties agree that any illegal or unenforceable provision will be severed from these Terms and Conditions and will not affect the continued operation of the remaining provisions; and to use their best endeavours to replace any severed provision with a provision having a commercial import as close as possible to the severed provision.
  •  
  • These Terms and Conditions constitute the entire agreement between the parties as to the Campaign and supersedes all prior representations and agreements in connection with that subject matter.
  •  
  • Except as specifically provided hereunder, a person who is not a party to these Terms and Conditions shall have no right under the Contracts (Rights of Third Parties) Act.
  •  
  • Nothing in these Terms and Conditions shall constitute any party as the agent of the other parties, or create a partnership, joint venture or similar relationship between the parties, and no party shall have the power to obligate or bind the other parties in any manner whatsoever.
