Some museums open until late at night on certain days of the weeks and in certain seasons. These museums include the Mori Art Museum located on the 53rd floor of Roppongi Hills and Watari-um Museum with a huge number of contemporary art exhibits. Illumination usually begins in mid-November in Shibuya, Roppongi, Omotesando, and many other areas of the city. “Cerulean Tower Noh Theatre”- Enjoy Japan’s Traditional Entertainment at Shibuya!

 

Walk for 5 minutes from the west exit of JR Shibuya station and you will reach the Noh Theatre on B2 floor of Cerulean Tower.

 

Noh is a representative form of classical Japanese musical drama comparable to Kabuki.

 

Centering Noh and Kyogen (literally “wild speech”, a form of traditional Japanese comic theatre developed alongside Noh), you can also find a wide range of traditional dramas, dances, concerts at this house of traditional acts.You can also visit the theatre from 2:30 p.m. – 5:30 p.m. when there is no ongoing session. No reservation is needed for the visit, and you can go really close to the stage to experience Japanese traditions!

“Robot Restaurant”- the New Landmark for Entertainment in Shinjuku with Popularity among Overseas Visitors

 

The one-of-the-kind, viral robot restaurant presents an impressive show in Tokyo. It is said that the restaurant cost 10 billion Japanese yen to start up!

 

This restaurant’s show consists of elements including “Taiko drum performance”, “robot battle”, “whimsical electric dance”, and “robot parade”. During the performance, you can see the series of interesting and dynamic performance from the robotic monsters, neon-clad singers on huge structures, and high-energy dancers. Hence, you can enjoy the wildest time with robots, bright lights, and body-moving techno music. (The content of the show changes from time to time).

 

The whimsical robotic creatures stand by the bar on the extravagantly decorated 3rd floor before the show. English menu and English-speaking staff are available. Tickets sell out even on weekdays, so do remember to make your reservation in advance.

“Roppongi Kaguwa”- Unique Kimono Show Restaurant

 

This is a restaurant where you can enjoy a brilliant performancewhich combines traditional elements with danceswhereby the dancers present themselves in extravagant kimono and ninja costumes. The show also brings in the mesmerising LED projections on a huge screen with captivating lights, impressive sound effect, making it uniquely sophisticated and enjoyable to watch! Performers will even come close to the audience, so as to surprise you and engage you as if you are part of the show. The all-you-can-drink menu includes both alcoholic drinks such as beers and whiskeys, and soft drinks. Buffet is also included!
