As a sister shop of cheese tart specialty shop "BAKE", famous for its long queues, a custard apple pie shop named "RINGO" has opened in Fukuoka Tenjin Underground Shopping Arcade, making it the third shop in Japan.
In the stylish red-themed store combined with the factory, shoppers can see the process of making apple pie amidst the fragrant aroma filling the place. Although one shopper can only buy up to four pieces, the oven-fresh apple pies with fresh custard cream are worth trying even after waiting in a long queue.
The combination of custard cream stuffed in original, flaky piecrust and the taste of apple creates perfect harmony. Nothing of the fresh flavor and smooth texture of fresh Hokkaido cream are lost due to the distinctive method of stuffing custard cream into the piecrust that has been baked in advance.
This is the only RINGO store in Kyushu, and there are none yet outside Japan in Asia. The cute red package is the hallmark of this take-out-only shop.
